Beneficencia Española and ProDanza Strengthen the Arts in Quetzaltenango with the Launch of the 2026 Dance Academy
QUETZALTENANGO – In a joint effort to democratize access to the arts and promote social well-being through movement, the Sociedad Española de Beneficencia de Occidente and the ProDanza Association have reaffirmed their strategic alliance for the 2026 cycle. This collaboration not only positions the Beneficencia Española as a cultural epicenter in the city but also solidifies a project with deep social impact for the local community.
With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the official registration period for the ProDanza Community Dance Academy has been announced—a free program designed to transform the lives of children, youth, and adults in Quetzaltenango.
Art as a Driver for Social Well-being
For the Sociedad Española de Beneficencia, hosting ProDanza represents a steadfast commitment to building resilient communities. "We are convinced that dance is a tool for social transformation and well-being," stated institution representatives. This project aims to ensure that dance is not a privilege but an accessible right, removing economic barriers and fostering spaces for healthy coexistence and artistic professionalism.
