MEXICO CITY | February 2026 – Guatemala’s art scene reaffirmed its international standing during the recent Mexico City Art Week, one of Latin America’s premier cultural hubs. Four Guatemalan creators stood out for their technical and creative proposals, capturing the attention of a massive specialized audience.
Andrea Castillo, Kristel Espina, Pamela Cerezo, and Juan Pablo Garzona represented the country at BADA, the prestigious international fair that connects artists directly with collectors, curators, and enthusiasts without intermediaries.
Their selection followed rigorous criteria for quality and innovation. Amidst a flow of over 20,000 spectators, the Guatemalan works competed at a high level, proving that the country's emerging art possesses the maturity to position itself in global markets.
