A space created for talent to shine, voices to be heard, and dreams to begin coming true.

Guatemala, July 22, 2026. As part of its commitment to promoting talent and strengthening culture in the communities where it operates, Metroproyectos, through Interplaza Xela, announces the sixth edition of the "Luz de Luna" Singing Festival, an initiative that has become a benchmark for discovering and boosting new musical promises in Western Guatemala.

Throughout its five previous editions, the festival has given more than 500 people the opportunity to demonstrate their talent, gain stage experience, and take an important step in the development of their artistic careers. This year, doors will open once again to men and women over 14 years of age, born or residing in the western part of the country, who do not have professional singing experience and wish to share their talent with the public.

The selection process will begin with two casting sessions. The first will take place on Saturday, July 25 at Metroplaza Cuatro Caminos, and the second on Saturday, August 1 at Interplaza Xela. During these dates, participants must complete the official registration form and present their audition before the jury. At the end of the process, the ten participants who will advance to the concert stage will be selected, and their names will be announced on Monday, August 3 through Interplaza Xela's social media.

The competition will consist of four concerts that will allow contestants to demonstrate their talent and artistic evolution:

 * First concert: Saturday, August 8. The 10 qualifiers will participate and 9 contestants will advance.

 * Second concert: Saturday, August 15. The 9 qualifiers will compete and 8 will advance.

 * Semifinal: Saturday, August 22. The 8 semifinalists will compete for one of the six spots for the grand finale.

 * Grand finale: Saturday, August 29. The 6 finalists will compete for the top 3 places.

Winners will receive cash prizes of Q8,000 for first place, Q5,000 for second place, and Q2,000 for third place, as recognition of their effort, dedication, and talent.

With this initiative, Metroproyectos and Interplaza Xela reaffirm their commitment to generating experiences that transcend entertainment, promoting spaces where art and culture become engines of inspiration, growth, and development for new generations. Likewise, they invite those who wish to continue strengthening their artistic training to join the Gloria Susana Castañeda Metro School of Arts, a space dedicated to talent development through programs taught by specialized instructors in various artistic disciplines.
