The United States is pleased to announce that we are preparing to ship an additional 3 million doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine to Guatemala in the coming week.  

This second shipment adds to the 1.5 million doses shipped to Guatemala on July 8 and is part of over $26 million in bilateral pandemic assistance to Guatemala -including Personal Protection Equipment, freezers, testing capacity, and equipment- since the start of the pandemic.  

As President Biden has said, “America will be the arsenal of vaccines in our fight against COVID-19.”  We are proud to be able to deliver these safe and effective vaccines to the people of Guatemala.  

The United States is helping lead the world out of this pandemic, building a world that is safer and more secure against the threat of infectious disease.
