Guatemala cayó goleada 3 a 0, ante la selección de Jamaica en Kingston. Los goles fueron de Russell al 26 y de Brown al 37 y al 73. Ese fue el último partido de esta fase de clasificación, de las eliminatorias mundialistas, rumbo a la Copa del Mundo de Estados Unidos México y Canadá del 2026.
Tanto la selección de Guatemala como Jamaica ya estaban clasificadas a la siguiente fase. Guatemala venía de golear 4 a 2 a República Dominicana y aseguraba su pase con 9 puntos hasta el momento. Jamaica por su parte era local, por lo que con ese resultado se ponía en primer lugar del grupo, dejando a la bicolor en el segundo puesto.
En el encuentro se dio el debut de Matt Evans en el combinado nacional en el segundo tiempo. Tanto Arquímedes Ordóñez, como Olger Escobar y Nathaniel Méndez Laing jugaron de titulares desde el inicio. Así mismo Carlos Aguilar también fue titular en la defensa.
Es de notar que el Kuki Lemus también fue titular en este encuentro. De hecho hubo varias rotaciones, esto debido a algunas lesiones de algunos jugadores que no viajaron. Eso fue aprovechado por el cuerpo técnico, para poder probar a ciertos jugadores desde el inicio para este encuentro.
Guatemala se volverá a ver las caras con Jamaica, prácticamente una semana después de este encuentro, esta vez en la Copa Oro a disputarse en Estados Unidos en este 2025. La selección nacional se encuentra en el grupo de Jamaica, Panamá y Guadalupe.
Este encuentro ha servido para poder calibrar las fuerzas de la selección nacional frente a rivales más complicados, como el conjunto de los Reggae Boys.
Es de notar que la gran velocidad de los caribeños se notó en el transcurso del partido, de hecho varias desatenciones en la defensa debido a este factor, fueron clave para la anotación de los goles.
Por su parte Arquímedes Ordóñez tuvo un par de ocasiones en las que pudo hacer un tiro de puntilla, un poco incómodo que inquietó en cierta forma al arquero jamaiquino. Asimismo Matt Evans remató también hacia el arquero jamaiquino, el cual desvió el balón.
Ese resultado es más acorde a lo que se esperaba, debido a las circunstancias con las cuales se tenía previsto se disputará este encuentro. El calor y otras circunstancias también influyeron en el resultado del partido.
Varios de los jugadores de la selección jamaiquina juegan en equipos élite de grandes ligas europeas, algunos incluso en la Premiere League de Inglaterra.
Óscar Santis no jugó el encuentro; se presume que esto fue para guardarlo para lo que será el debut en Copa Oro, precisamente frente a Jamaica y con ello así tener una mejor oportunidad.
En la última copa oro Guatemala demostró mayor paridad frente a este equipo, y casi logra empatar el partido, pero no se dieron las circunstancias favorables para ello.
La selección nacional se encuentra en un grupo difícil para poder clasificar. Sin embargo el objetivo sigue siendo la copa del mundo y la clasificación al mismo. Los rivales en los grupos finales de clasificación a la copa del mundo, se conocerán este jueves 13 de junio de 2025. Analysis of the Vertical Housing Sector in Zone 3 of Xela:
In Zone 3 of Quetzaltenango, being a very commercial area, it must be said that this type of project was needed. These high-density housing solutions are necessary for a city like Quetzaltenango.
There are already other apartment buildings like Torre Floresta Xela, Altos de Occidente, and soon Luz Azul Apartamentos and Los Cerezos; however, these projects are located in other areas far from the city center, such as Zone 9 of Quetzaltenango and municipalities like La Esperanza.

But let's be clear, there are no projects of this type in Zone 3 itself, which is the heart of Quetzaltenango. The only other tower in the area is the UTZ Ulew tower, within the shopping center of the same name; however, this is not a residential tower, but rather a mixed-use tower with office spaces and perhaps, if developers continue with the idea, a hotel in the future.
The truth is that Zone 3 is where these types of developments are most needed, as it has the highest property value in the city and the greatest potential for high density, as well as the need for it, since it is in a commercial area with all services. It would be very attractive to be able to build this type of project in this zone.
In my opinion, I believe more apartment buildings are needed in this area, and the Torre Novarka project could be the spearhead for that. We wish its developers the best. What do you think about all this?

Análisis del sector de vivienda vertical en la zona 3 de Xela:
En la zona 3 de Quetzaltenango, siendo esta una zona bastante comercial, hay que decir que ya hacía falta este tipo de proyectos, como soluciones habitacionales de densidad alta para una ciudad que ya lo necesita como es la ciudad altense.
Ya existen otros edificios de apartamentos como Torre floresta Xela, Altos de Occidente y próximamente Luz Azul Apartamentos y los Cerezos; sin embargo estos proyectos se encuentran en otras zonas alejadas del centro de la ciudad, como la zona 9 de Quetzaltenango y municipios como la Esperanza.
Pero hay que ser claros, no existen proyectos de este tipo en la zona 3 propiamente dicha en lo que sería el corazón de la ciudad de Quetzaltenango. Y la otra Torre que existe en el área es la torre UTZ Ulew, en el centro comercial del mismo nombre; pero esta no es una torre habitacional, si no es más bien una torre de uso mixto, con espacios para oficinas y tal vez en un futuro si los desarrolladores siguen con la idea un hotel.
La verdad es que en la zona 3 es en donde más se necesitan este tipo de desarrollos, ya que tiene la mayor plusvalía de la ciudad y tiene el mayor potencial para alta densidad, así como la necesidad del mismo, ya que se encuentra en un área comercial en donde se tienen todos los servicios, y sería muy atractivo poder construir este tipo de proyectos en esta zona.
A mi parecer creo que se necesitan más edificios de departamentos en esta zona y este proyecto Torre Novarka, podría ser la punta de lanza del mismo. Le deseamos lo mejor a sus desarrolladores. ¿Qué opinas de todo esto?
What a fantastic match our Guatemalan national team gave us! For a moment, we thought the game was lost, but fortunately, that wasn't the case.
Guatemala started strong, scoring in the 6th minute with a goal—no, a spectacular goal—from Óscar Santis. However, 10 minutes later, a lapse in concentration, or actually a poor save by Nicolás Hagen, who hasn't been in top form lately, allowed Romero to capitalize in the 16th minute, and the Dominican Republic equalized.
Then, in the 36th minute, another lapse from Hagen. A shot that any national league goalkeeper would have cleared or parried well slipped between his legs, and Morschel scored to make it 2-1.
But the substitutions would prove effective. Arquímedes Ordóñez and Olger Escobar came on to change the dynamic of the national team, combining well with Óscar Santis, who had a dream night. So much so that he scored two truly magnificent goals in two plays.
The equalizer came from a header by Nicolás Samayoa, a defender who played in Romanian football last season. It was from a cross where the goalkeeper's inattention led to the 2-2 score.
After shaking off the pressure, Óscar Santis scored a superb long-range goal. And then, after a cross from Morales, Óscar Santis struck it first-time with his right foot, putting it between the Dominican goalkeeper's legs to make it 4-2.
The national team maintained this dynamic, although they slowed down in pace and intensity after Óscar Santis was substituted. The truth is, Luis Fernando Tena's decision to take out the team's best player was not understood, but after that, the rhythm dropped, and the Dominican Republic started attacking again.
However, this was an unforgettable night for Óscar Santis, as he scored his first hat-trick for the Guatemalan national team. Incidentally, the last time the Dominican Republic visited Guatemala, they also conceded two goals to Óscar Santis. This means the national player has now scored against the Caribbean team on five occasions.
With this victory, Guatemala secures its qualification for the next phase, regardless of what happens in the match against Jamaica in Kingston.

Qué partidazo el que nos dio la selección nacional de Guatemala. Por un momento pensábamos que ya se iba a perder el partido pero afortunadamente no fue así.
Es que Guatemala inició ganando al minuto 6 con un gol, que digo, un golazo, de Óscar santis. Sin embargo 10 minutos después, una desatención ó de hecho una mala atajada de Nicolás Hagen, que no ha estado muy fino últimamente, hizo que Romero aprovechara al minuto 16, y pues bueno empataba Dominicana.
Luego al minuto 36 pues otra desatención de Hagen, en un disparo que cualquier portero de la liga nacional habría despejado ó rechazado bien, se le coló entre las piernas y Morschel anotaría el 2 a 1.
Pero los cambios surtirían efecto. Ya que Arquímedes Ordóñez y Olger Escobar llegarían para cambiar la dinámica de la selección nacional, para combinarse con un buen juego junto a Óscar Santis, quien tuvo una noche de ensueño. Tanto así que en dos jugadas anotaría dos auténticos golazos.
Pero el empate llegaría de cabeza de Nicolás Samayoa, defensa que estuvo en el fútbol de Rumanía en la última temporada. Sería en un centro en donde la desatención del arquero lograría el 2 a 2.
Ya después de haberse sacado la presión, Oscar Santis, de media distancia, anotaría un soberbio golazo. Y luego tras un centro de Morales, Oscar Santis, de primera dispararía con su pierna derecha y le pasaría entre las piernas al arquero dominicano, para poner el cuatro a dos.
La selección nacional seguiría con esta dinámica, aunque bajaría de ritmo e intensidad tras la salida de Óscar Santis. La verdad no se entendió el cambio que hizo Luis Fernando Tena al sacar al mejor jugador de la selección, pero luego de ello se bajó el ritmo y República Dominicana empezó a atacar nuevamente.
Sin embargo esta fue una noche inolvidable para Óscar santis, ya que anotó su primer triplete, ó hat trick, con la selección nacional de Guatemala. Dicho sea de paso la última vez que República Dominicana visitó Guatemala, también recibió dos goles de Óscar Santis. Por lo que el jugador nacional ya le ha anotado en cinco ocasiones a la selección caribeña.
Con esa victoria, Guatemala asegura su clasificación a la siguiente fase, independientemente de lo que pase en el partido frente a Jamaica en Kingston.
A nivel personal creo que deben estar desde el inicio, tanto Olger Escobar como Arquímedes Ordóñez, y Nathaniel Méndez podría ingresar en el segundo tiempo, aunque podría también iniciar desde el minuto cero del encuentro.
La defensa debe mejorar, ya que la dinámica de juego de ataque liberó de la presión de República Dominicana hacia Guatemala, sin embargo Jamaica es una selección más consolidada con varios jugadores en la Premiere League, y la defensa tiene que mejorar mucho en cuanto a la velocidad, la atención y no dejar espacios ni cometer errores.
Se vio un excelente partido de Óscar Santis, que fue la figura del encuentro, el MVP del partido, y una buena dinámica con Arquímedes Ordóñez y Olger Escobar, sin olvidar al resto de jugadores de la selección.
Guatemala debe trabajar en varios aspectos, sin embargo el funcionamiento en el segundo tiempo, fue el ideal en un buen tramo del partido.
Guatemala puede clasificar al mundial, sin embargo sí tiene que mejorar en estos aspectos, para los rivales que enfrentará en la siguiente fase.

Malacateco está a punto de hacer historia en los fichajes del fútbol nacional. El pase del colombiano pertenece al equipo guatemalteco. Pero este ha estado a préstamo en las últimas dos temporadas en el fútbol colombiano.
Primero con Atlético bucaramanga equipo con el que se proclamó campeón en ese año. Luego con Millonarios, donde en el 2025, ha podido disputar 16 partidos, ha anotado dos goles y brindado una asistencia.
La ficha del jugador colombiano ó su pase, tiene un valor por $1.3 millones de dólares aproximadamente. Eso quiere decir que a Malacateco le tocaría $600,000 dólares.

But the success didn't stop there. The entire "How to Train Your Dragon" franchise has soared high, grossing over USD$1.6 billion worldwide, becoming the eleventh highest-grossing animated franchise of all time! It's proof of the power of its story, its characters, and its incredible animation.
"How to Train Your Dragon" is much more than an adventure film. It's a story about friendship, acceptance, the courage to be different, and the power to change the perspective of an entire community. But what can we expect from the live-action version of all this? According to the trailers we've seen of the film, the visual aspect of the animated version is respected, as well as the similarities with respect to the original characters, except for the character of Astrid, who in the trailers does not look much like her animated version, nor does she look tough and imposing, although we haven't seen much of her personality, we will discover if she is more faithful to the original material or if it will be a slightly more free adaptation.
At least visually, Toothless looks very similar, almost a carbon copy of his animated version. Hiccup also looks a lot like his animated version, as does Stoick. Bueno, esa es la trama de la película "Cómo entrenar a tu dragón" de DreamWorks, la cual llega en live action, 15 años después de su versión animada, y se estrenará en cines en junio de 2025. Pero ¿qué podemos esperar de esta cinta? Bueno, recapitulemos un poco de la trama para descubrir si la versión lives action, será o no fiel a su historia original.
La película de acción real "Cómo entrenar a tu dragón" se estrena en cines el 12 de junio de 2025 a nivel mundial. La película se estrenó en la CinemaCon el 2 de abril de 2025, y su estreno en cines está previsto para el 13 de junio en Estados Unidos. Se espera que la secuela se estrene el 11 de junio de 2027, según Wikipedia.
Nuestro protagonista, un adolescente que desafía todas las expectativas vikingas: Hipo. Interpretado magistralmente por la voz de Jay Baruchel, Hipo es flacucho, torpe y, para colmo, tiene un sentido del humor bastante peculiar que no encaja para nada con la seriedad de su tribu.
Y para añadir más presión a Hipo, ¿quién creen que es el jefe de la tribu? Nada menos que su padre Estoico el Vasto, un vikingo imponente, con la poderosa voz de Gerard Butler. La relación entre padre e hijo es tensa, con Estoico esperando que Hipo sea el guerrero que no es.
La Isla Mema es un lugar donde la valentía se mide en la cantidad de dragones que has derribado. Y Hipo… bueno, Hipo tiene un camino muy diferente por delante.

Según los trailers que hemos visto de la cinta, se respeta el aspecto visual de la versión animada, así como las similitudes con respecto a los personajes originales, excepto el personaje de Astrid, quien en los trailers no se parece mucho a su personaje de la versión animada, tampoco se ve ruda e imponente, aunque no hemos visto mucho de su personalidad, descubriremos si es más fiel al material original o si será una adaptación un poco más libre.
Al menos en el aspecto visual, Chimuelo si se parece bastante o es casi que un calco de su versión animada. Hipo también se parece mucho a su versión animada, así como Estoico. Las escenas de acción se ven impresionantes, dignas de un film de este tipo. Así mismo la promoción en varios países, incluidos México, uno de los mercados claves del cine, ha sido interesante. El 12 de junio se estrenará esta cinta y descubriremos cuán fiel es a su versión animada, aunque también veremos si ha mejorado ó ha cambiado para una mejor trama, algunas de las partes de la cinta.

Yo no sé ustedes, pero a mí me provoca bastante emoción el poder ir a ver esta película, que es una película familiar que se ve pues bastante divertida. Ver los efectos especiales impresionantes y toda la trama será todo un deleite.
