"Maria Tymchuk: Weaving Poetry, Psychology, and Life's Passions"

How do poetry, psychology, biology, chemistry and management all relate together? María Tymchuk has the answer! We will unravel her passionate soul throughout the interview we will show you on this article.

As an established poet and happiness coach, currently living in Montreal, Canada, originally from Ukraine, she is the example multiple disciplines may coexist and be nurtured by a single person in harmony within her soul.

Her discipline and determination had led her to discover new ways to intertwine sciences and arts that for most part of the time, had no apparent relation between them.

Although her academic background is in biology, chemistry, and management, her true passion lies in working with people and helping them grow — something that both her professions reflect deeply on her daily basis.

She’s also a mother to a beautiful 4-year-old daughter, and she is currently pursuing further education in Psychology at Taras Shevchenko National University and Theology at the Institute of Religious Sciences of St. Thomas Aquinas.

As an intelectual having multiple perspectives, she has gained a unique view that is reflected over her work.

She has published two poetry collections: one in English titled From Love to Happiness and another in Ukrainian called There Is Time for Everything. Right now, she is actively developing her poetic journey and sharing her work with a growing audience.

María remembers writing her first little poems at a very young age — I was around six years old. Some of those early writings are still kept at my home in Ukraine. She used to write about the world around her: snow, flowers, cats, dogs, — I would illustrate my poems with matching drawings — proving she is not only a writer but a true artist as well.

As the years went by, her desire to write only grew stronger. — I began writing more and more, and eventually started performing my poetry at school events, local festivals, and competitions — sharing her talents with others.

María truly believes there’s something deeply meaningful about returning to the gifts we had in childhood — even if it’s just as a hobby, it connects us to something very real within ourselves.

But, how does someone with a lot social science carreers as background started to get involved in writting? Her answer is very natural:

At some point, I simply realized I had written a large collection of poems. I used to carefully copy them into beautiful notebooks, and eventually, I felt a deep inner calling — it was time to create and publish a book.

Sometimes what we believe is just pieces of memories, turn out to be a great opportunity to create a masterpiece, that’s what María did with her collection.

She believes that we should treat our creativity with care and responsibility — to gather everything we’ve written, to preserve each piece, and to weave them together into something greater. Something we can share with others and offer to the world as a gift.

That is a very inspiring thought that can move anyone, to nurture what líes within us and to transform it in a way of expression of the soul.

As stated before, María has written and published two poetry collections: From Love to Happiness in English, and There Is Time for Everything in Ukrainian. But also she has several eBooks that she plans to publish in the near future.

In summary, María has written a collection from her inner thoughts and experiences throughout her life, like a special clothing being developed and carefully crafted through the years.

Poetry is my true love — it’s the genre I write in most. I believe poetry holds something magical: it touches the human soul in a very direct way, and has the power to inspire and uplift in just a few lines, María states.

Her favorite themes to write are philosophical themes — the search for happiness and joy in life, the passage of time, and how to listen to and love yourself while staying strong in this world.

Most of my poems are motivational and inspiring because I want to give people positivity, hope, and strength through my words.

This is a very important aspect on her writtings and our society nowadays, as this world may seem to dive more and more on obscure times, the light of hope and positivity that inspires people and is shared by persons like María, is fundamental to be kept for our communities not to fall on pesimistic behaviors.

Of course, like many poets, she also writes about nature and her personal experiences and emotions. That is a quality very underrated nowadays. To be able to connect with yourself is something unappreciated within our society.

For a long time, María has been interested in psychology, studying it extensively by her own, and now she is pursuing a master’s degree in psychology: –I am passionate about personal growth, achieving life goals, being happy, and helping others find their happiness, calling, and purpose– she tell us.

My knowledge of psychology helps me become stronger, understand my inner values, fears, and traumas — and then support others in doing the same– she remarks. Helping others to be lifted when they feel down is a powerful service. It’s incredibly fascinating. Just imagine how much of our lives is controlled by what we are not even aware of. Many people follow the worn paths of their life scripts without realizing they are not living their true lives, María shares with us.

–I love working with people, inspiring them through words, touching their souls. Psychology helps me become stronger, wiser, and more attentive to others– and indeed she has proved it through the recent times we have get to know her on a very fortuit way.

The richness of her soul is reflected on her daily habits. María loves spending time outdoors, going for walks, and swimming. But her greatest hobby is traveling — I have visited 27 countries so far. I truly believe nothing enriches the soul like traveling, experiencing different cultures, customs, people, and cultural landmarks — expresses with joyfulness.

She believes traveling it’s wonderful and our world is so beautiful that if you fully open the eyes of your soul and see everything, you can live in a state of endless joy, amazed by its beauty. Something deeply true!

Finally, María shares some thoughts to our audience: — I wish happiness to everyone reading this interview — happiness as you imagine it, because happiness is different for each of us. I wish you find your calling, something that drives and excites you, and for those who have already found it, to keep nurturing and developing it.

I also wish you love, joy, and truly living the life you want to live — we also wish the same to María and her family and to all of those who are reading this article.
